Master Gardener Advanced Training Policies for
Eligibility, Attendance and Cancellation

Eligibility

To take a state MG Advanced Training course, you must be an active Maryland Master Gardener or intern (trainee) affiliated with one of the county MG programs. If a course does NOT fill up with active MG's, we will consider taking qualified non MG's at a slightly higher fee. If you are a non-MG, you can send in a registration form, but please indicate on your registration form that you are not an MG and what kind of horticultural training you have had.. We will notify you once the announced registration closing date has passed as to whether there was space in the class. We will then either enroll you (on a first come, first served basis), or return your check.

Attendance

To receive a certificate for any state MG Advanced Training Level II courses, you must have attended at least 75% of the classes and completed any assigned coursework.

Cancellation Policy

Unless stated elsewhere on course announcements, no refunds or credits, will be issued for any reason, after one week before the course starts. For example, if a course starts on Wed. Au 13., no cancellations will be refunded if they are received after Tuesday, Au. 5.
