Advanced Training Certificates
The start MG advanced training program offers a few advanced certifications. Courses for each can be taken in any order.
Woody Plants Certification
You will need to take 5 courses:
- Plant ID/Taxonomy, and all of the 200 Common Landscape courses:
- Shade Trees
- Ornamental Trees and Vines
- Flowering Shrubs
- Evergreen Trees and Shrubs.
Plant Diagnostics Certification
You will need to take 4 courses:
- Plant Diseases
- Entomology
- Ask an MG Practicum
- and Plant ID/Taxonomy.
Master Composter Certification
requires class attendance, project completion and 10 hours of volunteer work in composting.
