Plant Diagnostics Certificate

New MG State Advanced Training Certificate Course in Plant Diagnostics/Ask a MG

Due to the overwhelming popularity and usefulness of “Ask a Master Gardener” plant clinics and the demand for more education for those staffing the clinics, we are initiating a new set of courses that can earn you a “Ask a Master Gardener” plant diagnostic certificate. To get the certificate you will need to take Plant Diseases, Entomology, and an “Ask a MG” practicum. We are planning on offering these courses in various places around the state.

We are scheduling the first one in the series, the Ask an MG Practicum, in Howard County in August and September.

The second in the series, Plant Diseases Train the Trainer class will begin at MDA in Annapolis in September. This 2 day course is primarily geared to teaching you all you would need to know in order to teach Plant Diseases to trainees during MG basic training.

We hope to have an Entomology class start up in Spring 2008.
