State of Maryland Master Gardener Program- Advanced Training

• About the State MG Advanced Training Program
  The University of Maryland Master Gardening state coordinated Advanced Training Program began in order to meet the high demand by Maryland Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV's) for more in-depth advanced training opportunities....
• Advanced Training Policies
  Master Gardener Advanced Training Policies for Eligibility, Attendance and Cancellation
• Plant Diagnostics Certification
  Courses in Plant Diseases, Entomology and Master Gardener Practicum will earn you an MG Plant Diagnostics Certification.
• Courses
• Master Gardener Advanced Training Level II in Weed ID and Control
  This Level II Course will be held in 2008 in Central Maryland (mostly Anne Arundel and PG counties)from 9:30am-3pm on Tuesdays, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, and Sept. 9, 2008.
• Master Gardener Master Composter Course
  Master Composter Course St. Mary's Co. (Charlotte Hall), 4-9 pm on April 21 and April 28.
• Woody Plants Certificate courses - Landscape Horticulture- 200 Common Plants of Maryland
  Get your Woody Plant Level II Certification! This year we will be offering courses Evergreen Trees and Shrubs in April/May in Anne Arundel Co., Shade Trees in June in Harford Co., and Ornamental Trees and Vines in June in Howard Co.
• Container Vegetable Gardening
  Earthboxes, Bucket Gardens, Salad Tables, Salad Boxes- Grow vegetables and greens anywhere. Learn how in a one day workshops in both Queen Anne's. Co. (April) and Charles Co. (May 2008).
• Ask a MG Practicum
  This 3 half-day plus field walk course will meet 5/5, 5/7, 5/12 and 5/14 in Frederick County.
• Master Gardener Advanced Training in Plant ID/Taxonomy
  Plant ID/Taxonomy Courses will be held in four locations in June & July 2008- St. Mary's Co; Baltimore City; Frederick Co. and Anne Arundel Co.
• Organic Vegetable Gardening
  Organic Vegetable Gardening- Learn it, Teach It. Get the advanced training and resources you need to become a successful presenter on Vegetable Gardening. One-day workshops in Queen Anne's Co. (July 9) and in Charles Co. (July 15).
