Situation:
Tight funding for public and non-profit organizations and limited time, skills and experience have made it difficult for such groups to create appropriate landscapes and/or useful gardens on their grounds.
Actions Taken:
Montgomery County Master Gardeners have used their training, experience and interest to help these organizations enhance their facilities.
Impact
Montgomery County is the recipient of many completed projects. Clients included mainstream and special needs schools, libraries, police and correctional centers, community organizations, nature centers and the Fisher Houses at Bethesda Naval Medical Center (a hospital affiliated organization).
