Our projects range from helping people identify plants at clinics around the county to learning about and sharing gardening practices that reduce pollution of the Chesapeake Bay
Here is some of what our members are doing this year:
Donna Capecci helps senior citizens learn how to grow salads in kitchen table boxes.
Dottie Justice works at Eastwood Elementary School.
Pat Sherman speaks about house plants to elementary schools and works with kids in the Food Stamp Nutrition Project at the Dundalk Police Athletic League (PAL) center.
Pat Cieslak works at Eastwood Elementary School, and on nutrition projects at PAL centers at Dundalk and Mars Estate schools.
Victoria Brueck and Nancy Flower work on the Ballstone Manor herb garden project and the senior citizens' salad box project.
Charlotte L'Esperance recently explained worm composting to 8 and 9 year old children at the Remington School in Hamden.
Pat Meisol works with kids in the food stamp nutrition project at the Winfield PAL center.
Catherine Cook works at the Cylburn Arboretum's compost site, and helps the Gunpower Nature Conservancy with its tree planting projects.
Debby Hyson is working on the Ballstone Manor herb garden.
Brett and Linda Lehmann are active in Baywise and promote Baywatch landscaping with their demonstration garden.
Kim Barnes works on the Herring Run Watershed Association tree planting and nursery project, the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, and at Westchester Elementary School.
Nancylee Campion works with kids in the nutrition program at the Mars Estates School PAL.
Susan Williamson works with the 5th District Elementary School on garden restoration and green school certification.
Pam Spencer, a Baltimore City master gardener, sits on the Training Committee.
Amy Johnson works on the senior salad box project and a garden restoration at the Odyssey school.
Mary Beth Tierney is organizing volunteers for a demonstration garden at Hampton Mansion.
Lisa Smith works on the Cylburn Arboretum composting project.
Donna Watts helps Westchester Elementary School with its butterfly garden.
