How Are Master Gardeners Trained?

The Howard County Master Gardener training program is conducted annually by Maryland Cooperative Extension specialists, agents, and other horticulture professionals. Through the training program, participants are taught many different horticultural subjects by experts in the field.


Howard County's current training program is from January 27 through March 31, 2010; Monday and Wednesday mornings, 9-Noon.

What Does Master Gardener Training Cost?

A fee is charged to cover the cost of the supplies and the literature used in training, which are then the Master Gardener's to keep. The Howard County Master Gardener Coordinator will inform you of these costs.
